Mel Dillon is a seasoned senior Surface Illustrator and Soft & Hard Goods Product Designer based in Minneapolis.

With a pencil in hand from day one, Mel earned her stripes at Iowa State, graduating with a degree in Apparel Design. She then went on to specialize in Greeting Card design and Surface Illustration for celebration and gifting products.

With over a decade of experience at fast-paced in-house roles and design agencies, Mel brings a wealth of knowledge on successfully bringing products to market. She’s not just a design dynamo; she’s also a mentor, guiding other designers on the path to success.

Behind the scenes, Mel utilizes a variety of digital and traditional illustration techniques to create cheeky, fun illustrations. Today, Mel’s designs adorn the shelves of large retailers like Target, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, and JoAnns as consistent best-sellers.
