Native New Yorker Kate Segal is a visual artist and illustrator based in Manhattan. Her work is known for its vibrant, bold colors and themes that explore nature, spirituality, and the human experience, with a particular focus on the female perspective. Kate’s digital creations range from artwork and illustrations to textile designs, puzzles wallpaper, gift wrap, and greeting cards.

Kate’s artistic journey began with childhood visits to New York City museums, including MoMA, The Guggenheim, and The Whitney, where she developed an early love for abstract and contemporary art. Influenced by artists such as Henri Matisse, Hilma af Klint, and David Hockney, she also drew inspiration from her grandmother, who was an illustrator in the 1960s and known for her Marimekko-inspired style.

Kate’s work is created with the intention of bringing joy and self-reflection to her viewers. She invites her audience to connect with her art in a way that uplifts and encourages a sense of happiness and appreciation for color and form.
