Nancy Leschnikoff

Nancy Leschnikoff (or Nancy Noodle Doodles as she is also known,) is an illustrator-designer based just outside of London in Kent with her family.

Specialising in the illustration and design of children’s books, Nancy also enjoys lettering projects and book covers which marry up her illustration and book design skill nicely. Her hand-drawn digital style, confident layout and typography skills, and bold approach to colour have led to a variety of work in publishing and other design genres such as licensing, advertising, branding and packaging.

Growing up with her father who was also a professional illustrator, Nancy learned early on that doodling (all the time!) was her thing. She went on to study design and illustration at Nottingham Trent University, and has a First Class BA (Hons) degree which led immediately to design studio work followed by 15 years as a Children’s Book Designer at Usborne Publishing with a decade of this time spent at a Senior level, managing and overseeing the design of all manner of books for children. She has a quirky sense of humour that translates into her artwork, she loves to work on projects that make children giggle.

Since going freelance, Nancy thoroughly enjoys the creative freedom illustration and design work bring, and she is told her warm, friendly manner and hard-working, organised approach make her easy to work with. And that’s not just her mum speaking! Used to managing and interpreting briefs with her design experience and her creative skill makes commissioning her an easy choice.

Nancy is represented by Robyn Newton — to work with Nancy please email Amy Fitzgerald while Robyn is on maternity leave.
