Amy Fitzgerald

I joined Bright in 2020 and represent a diverse list of talented authors and illustrators working across all genres and age ranges. I have particular passion for non-fiction, an area I have been actively growing. Before Bright, I built a varied career in publishing as both an agent and an editor, working with creatives ranging from established franchises to debut talent. This experience has shaped a collaborative, supportive approach to representation. I am driven by a love of reading and storytelling, and by a belief that all young people deserve access to books that inspire confidence, curiosity, and imagination.

In picture books, I’m always drawn to artwork and stories that feel full of life, with strong characterisation and genuine emotional impact. In non-fiction, I’m excited by artists and authors who can bring fresh energy to familiar subjects  whether through a new perspective or by experimenting with style and format.
