Meet the Team

Richard Scrivener sits on the board of The Bright Agency, where he leads the development of the company’s film, television, stage and merchandising rights portfolio. With over three decades of experience in the children’s publishing industry, Richard is a leading figure at the intersection of children's publishing and screen. He has brokered numerous high-profile option agreements with major studios and producers in both Hollywood and the UK. Richard’s passion lies in understanding and maintaining the integrity of an author or artist’s vision, whilst at the same time, securing the best deal possible for the benefit of the client.

Richard has a proven record of building partnerships with broadcasters, streamers and production companies. His expertise and longstanding relationships ensure Bright’s creators find the right media home for their work. He also helps clients by navigating new business models being created by the fast-changing media landscape. And more generally supports the Bright senior management and agent team with strategic advice in relation to contractual matters and key publisher relationships.
