Karen Obuhanych lives on the Big Island of Hawaii and is inspired by her family, most notably her strong-minded daughter, her beastly calico and her new French bulldog, Echo. She’s an author-illustrator of This Little Kitty and This Little Kitty in the Garden which showcased her amazing cut paper collage and watercolor style.

Prior to working as an illustrator, Karen studied Fine Art with an emphasis in painting. She enjoys working with all types of paint, pencils and digital media. Karen loves keeping it simple, making it cute and celebrating the funny stuff that happens in life.
