John Condon

John is a multi-award nominated author, whose picture books have received critical acclaim in the UK and abroad.

His titles include “The Wondrous Dinosaurium”, (Maverick Arts, 2018), “The Best Bear Tracker”, (Templar, 2022), and “The Pirates Are Coming!” (Nosy Crow, 2020). His writing won The Children’s Jury Award, and he has been translated into thirteen languages. John also writes chapter book fiction, and his debut series is out on submission.

He lives with his family in sunny Kent and enjoys weekend walks on the beach. Well, that’s what he tells people. In reality he loves nothing more than to sit in a comfy armchair, with a fresh cup of tea, dreaming up new story ideas. Very occasionally he will go for a walk on the beach but only after putting up a good fight!
