Eva Byrne

Eva Byrne lives on the West Coast of Ireland, working as a freelance illustrator for publishers, advertising agencies, and magazines for over 20 years but she is a children’s book Illustrator at heart.

Her first children’s book, written by Savannah Gurthrie and Alison Oppenheimer “Princesses Wear Pants” became a New York Times Bestseller.

She has written and illustrated two books so far, “Along Came Coco” which was a Bank Street Book of the year and SUPERNANA both published by Abrams.

Her work is a combination of traditional and digital techniques, traditional for its spontaneity and digital for its more forgiving qualities.

She attended FIT where her passion for Fashion Illustration was birthed. Her work is imbued with her contagious sense of fun, elegance and whimsy. Her clients include Abrams, Viking Penguin, Harper Collins and American Girl.
