Ash is an illustrator and general creative based in the Australian capital.

Her work is characterised by a passion for traditional media and graphic visual storytelling; she especially loves the texture and tacility afforded by using things like ink, gouache and watercolour.

Ash has been making pictures and all kind of crafts since she can remember – from sketching her favourite dinosaurs in kindergarten and making trading cards with her brother to her current work. Studying Visual Arts at the Australian National University widened her scope and formalised a passion for all the many forms of creative expression and storytelling, which is carried on now through illustration, ceramics and media.

Of all the rabbit holes she goes down Ash is most inspired by folktales and folk art, history and the beauty of the natural world.
