Colleen Larmour

Colleen first studied art at Liverpool Art School where her focus was on children’s animation and design. Going on to study the MA in Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge Art School led to Colleen having two picture books published after graduation - Under the Silvery Moon and Little Friend (Little Tiger Press).

Recent book projects include the No More Worries series published in February 2020 (Autumn Publishing) and Making Friends: A Book About First Friendships published in August 2020 (Walker). Colleen has also enjoyed working on a diverse range of projects including licensing and magazine commissions, an activity book and selling her own prints online.

She is interested in capturing gesture, emotion and human expression and loves to try and tell a wider story through one simple picture. She enjoys working with traditional and mixed media and is currently developing her own authored picture books. Much of Colleen’s inspiration comes from her passion for colour, nature and daily life with her children.

Colleen lives in County Antrim, Northern Ireland with her husband Glenn and two daughters Rose and Nina.
