Fátima Ordinola

Fátima Ordinola is a Peruvian graphic designer and illustrator based in Cambridge, UK. Her love for books and illustration took her to study at Cambridge School of Art the MA Children’s Book Illustration.

Nature and every day life is a constant inspiration for her work. She grew up surrounded by encyclopaedias, dictionaries, and children’s books without knowing that illustrating them will be her dream job one day. Playing with text and image without worrying too much about the outcome is one of her favourite activities at the very beginning of every project. Here’s where magic happens!

When she’s not drawing or writing, she’s reading a book, watching a movie or documentary, finding inspiration for a new story to tell. Inspired by the character Kathleen Kelly in the movie ‘You’ve got mail’, her long term dream is to have a small independent bookshop.
