Reviews
-
‘Fans of The Gruffalo will adore this hilarious and smearily chaotic picture book about guzzling all the chocolates and trying not to be found out. Laura Hughes’ The Chunk is appealingly Muppet-like and just fluffy enough to be actually rather adorable. A delightful book about the joys of chocolate for all the other chocolate monsters out there.’ — The Book Trust for ‘ Wanted: The Chocolate Monster’ by Pip Jones, illustrated by Laura Hughes.
-
“Drawn and coloured with lively, happy, cartoonish freedom, showing a dad who cooks, some diversity in the class and lots of interesting detail at home, at the doctor’s and at school, the book is delightfully funny. This mad idea in a familiar context is likely to prompt giggly hours of playing.” — The Times for ‘There’s a Pig up my Nose’ by John Dougherty, illustrated by Laura Hughes.
-
“A holiday read that is cheerfully chaotic and energetically well calculated.” — The Observer for ‘We’re Going on an Egghunt’
