Jocelyn Kao is a freelance illustrator from Taiwan and currently based in Montréal, Québec. She studied illustration and animation in San Francisco, and then worked as a concept artist for seven years. After a long period of work in animation and game, she decided to go to Paris studying fashion design. A year in Paris inspired her own life and creative work. She started to develop in illustration and had published her first picture book “CHACHA À PARIS” in France in 2015.
Her work includes editorial illustration, illustration for fashion brands and magazines, book cover, children’s illustration, and picture books. Her inspiration comes from everyday life, travel, and people around her. Her art style is chic and edgy, which is often with a bold color combination and beautiful details.
Jocelyn adores cats, vintage fashion and style. She loves to illustrate woman style, cat, architecture, and landscape. She enjoys visiting art museums and reading literature.
