Clau Souza

Clau Souza has been a professional illustrator for the last 15 years.

During this time she’s been working with a great variety of publishers, advertising agencies, magazines, toys and games companies, and non-profit organizations from around the world. Originally from Joinville, Brazil - she’s currently living in Toronto, Canada where She also works in community arts – primarily with the non-profit Story Planet.

Clau loves to work in a flat and colourful style, but is always open to trying different approaches depending on the project’s needs. She has a degree in Advertising from IELUSC (Brazil) and a post-graduation certificate in Arts Education and Community Arts from Centennial College (Canada).

Winner of Cultural Contest of ABC Design Magazine with “Brazil and the Street” illustration - 2015

This illustration was selected to be part of “Girl from Ipanema” exhibition in honor of Vinicius de Moraes’ 100th birthday (promoted by Urban Arts). The exhibit took place in São Paulo - Brazil and in Berlin - Germany.
