Agata Zlotko is a Polish artist based in North-East of France.
In her work, she channels a deep admiration for nature, animals, and all things whimsical and magical. Growing up in Poland, she gathered vintage inspirations that continue to influence her practice to this day. As a self-taught artist, she first made her mark in the world of tattooing. Now, her carefully designed characters are ready to inhabit longer narratives and find their place in children’s books, where they have always belonged.
Agata loves mixing traditional media, such as gouache painting, with digital art. This process perfectly reflects her aim of creating heartwarming fairy tales that feel both classical and modern. In her free time, she hikes, walks her cat in the garden, and enjoys life’s small pleasures. Crowned a picnic queen by her friends, she is said to appear to the lucky in her local park, brewing camping-style coffee. If approached carefully, she might share a cup with you.
