Jonathan Emmerson

Jonathan Emmerson is an illustrator and printmaker. Originally from Wiltshire (his school blazer had Stonehenge on it) he studied Fine Art at Birmingham Institute of Art & Design, worked in London as a digital designer and is now based in St Albans.

As a working artist Jonathan has run printmaking workshops with children and adults, designed his own fabrics and exhibited his work.

He has also illustrated a non-fiction natural history book called ‘Above, Below and Long Ago’ (published by Wayland and produced with the Natural History Museum).

Jonathan’s work is full of life and movement with strong characterisation and a sense of fun.
