Brian Wildsmith, who died in 2016, created over 80 books across a career spanning six decades, winning the Kate Greenaway Medal in 1962 for his celebrated ABC, published by Oxford University Press. Those books have been translated into 30 languages, published in 45 countries with worldwide sales of over 20 million copies.

Brian’s work drew comparisons to the finest painters of the twentieth century - now Bright takes hopes to build momentum across Wildsmith’s core titles and licensed products, expanding on what is already in the market with new partners and use of his beautiful art, as well as launching a new licensing programme using Brian’s art, bringing fresh visibility to one of the most distinctive bodies of work in British publishing history.
