It was a simple yet glorious sketch of Superman drawn by his father that first inspired a young Scott to pick up a drawing pencil. A healthy and robust diet of Mad Magazine, newspaper comic strips and Chuck Jones animation throughout his childhood not only strengthened a love of art, but that of storytelling as well.
Scott has published books with Penguin, World Book and Little Tiger Group and has publications forthcoming with Disney World Wide, Abdo and Viking. He has also produced work for televi-sion, comic books and games.
Originally from the seaport of Gloucester, Massachusetts, Scott currently resides on the south-left gulf coast of Florida with his amazing and patient wife, two equally amazing daughters and a rather psychotic pug named Duncan who has a Great White-like appetite for pens, brushes and an occa-sional finger or toe.
Included on his list of the “wicked awesome”-an adjective taken from the official Massachusetts Guide To Grammar that is often used to describe something that one deems great or pleasurable-are the following: drumming, pizza, the literary works of Neil Gaiman, Ronald Dahl & Berkeley Breathed, autumn in New England, and consuming large quantities of bread & cheese…he can’t help that last part-he’s Portuguese.
