Jocelyn Kao is an illustrator from Taiwan and currently based in Montréal, Canada. She graduated from Academy of Art University in San Francisco, and worked as a concept artist in animation and game for seven years.
A trip to Europe inspired her to become a freelance illustrator. She especially enjoys drawing architectures, cityscapes, cats and women. Jocelyn had published her first picture book “CHACHA À PARIS” in France in 2015, and the second book “CHACHA À TOKYO” has won a merit award of iJungle illustration competition in 2020. Her work is also featured in children’s books, picture books, magazines, packaging and branding.
Jocelyn’s style is chic and edgy, which involves bold colors combined with beautiful details. She loves vintage, appreciates historical architecture, and admires Art Nouveau and Ukiyo E.
She is developing her first series of prints and patterns.
