Ruth Hammond is a UK based illustrator from the historical city of York.
She has been doodling since she could hold a pencil, and can usually be found tucked away in the cosy corner of her studio, scribbling away under the supervision of her fluffy cat. She specialises in children’s books and loves combining traditional and digital textures to create bright and fun imagery for storytelling. Her inspiration comes from her love of magical adventures, her ridiculous pets, and the flora and fauna of the North Yorkshire countryside. Previous clients include Penguin Random House, HarperCollins, Editions Auzou and Editions Milan.
When not drawing, she loves walking, writing silly stories and reading a good book with an equally good cup of tea.
