Jules Scheele is a queer freelance illustrator and comics artist based in Glasgow, Scotland. He specialises in graphic storytelling that translates and brings a human touch to difficult concepts. Notable published work includes the Queer, Gender, and SexualityGraphic Guide trilogy from Icon Books (written by Dr. Meg-John Barker), and he has also provided illustrations for Drag Race UK season 2 contestant Bimini’s book, Release The Beast: A Drag Queen’s Guide To Life (published by Viking Books). ‌ His personal illustration work consists of comics, zines and prints and is heavily influenced by his interests in queer art, pop culture, subcultures, camp, fashion illustration, autobio/alternative comics and manga, propaganda and pop art, grassroots politics and DIY zine culture.
