Elena Hager is a Russian-American artist, currently based in Atlanta, GA, USA. By utilizing digital tools in her illustrations, Elena creates evocative scenes, rich with textures and bold colors.

Her love of drawing and painting began the first time she held a crayon as a child. Elena worked with oil paint on canvas for eight years and studied for a year to be a fine painting restorer, but she has always felt that children’s book illustration is everything her heart and soul crave.

In her free time, Elena loves going through art books with her toddler son. They always find something funny or unique about each artwork or artist’s approach. Elena believes that early reading is essential for every kid as books help to direct children through life and teach them kindness and empathy. She sees her mission as an illustrator to be that bridge between a child and a book.
