Dane Thibeault is a Canadian artist and writer who illustrates books and portraits. Dane first got into illustration while studying graphic design, and is a graduate of the University of Calgary and Alberta University of the Arts with a degree in Visual Communications Design(Illustration).

Dane has illustrated a number of fiction and non-fiction children’s books about animals, dinosaurs, and other scientific/historical topics. His editorial portrait illustration work has also been published in books and magazines, as well as the program books for the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.

Dane takes inspiration from science and history documentaries, classic storybook illustrations, fashion illustrations, and even music videos. In addition to collecting fountain pens and other art supplies, Dane enjoys collecting albums and listening to all different genres of music.
