Meggie Johnson's Debut Graphic Novel 'Into The Void' Announced!

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news from Meggie Johnson, an exceptionally talented artist and author here at Bright. Meggie’s debut graphic novel, Into The Void, is part of Penguin’s groundbreaking new Graphic novel imprint, Penguin Graphics! Scheduled for release in 2025, Into The Void promises readers an immersive journey into a world of mystery, adventure, and wonder.

Meggie commented: “Since its conception last spring, Into the Void has been nothing short of utter joy to work on and an incredible vortex of labour, love and giggles. I grew up a giant fan of science-fiction and so to be on the other side of the page is truly a dream come true for ten-year-old me, who planned countless undercover space adventures.

This book is a love letter to every young mind’s need for pure exploration and mystery. It’s fast, it’s nonsensical and, above all, it’s just very silly. It would not have been made possible without my literary agent Katie over at The Bright Agency and the most fabulous team over at Penguin Random House, who made it the best version of itself it could have possibly been.

I’m beyond the moon that people would be able to catch a first glimpse of the story at this year’s Bologna Book Fair and can only hope that children, parents and space pirates around the world click with the oddball plot and our misfit gang of (pretty tough) girls.”
