Emma Dashwood graduated Leicester Polytechnic in 1992 with an honours degree in Fine Art. Specialising in oil painting and a passion for colour it would be some years before Emma used her artistic skills again. After finishing her degree Emma moved to London and spent the next fifteen years working in the music industry with not a paintbrush in sight! Fast forward another six years, a move to the beautiful city of Bath, marriage and two children Emma felt inspired to draw and paint again. Excited by her renewed love of art, she finds inspiration in everyday life, from animals to architecture, the countryside and people, combining them with her love of colour and pattern. When not designing and illustrating Emma loves to spend time with friends and family, enjoying country walks and pub lunches and researching exotic holidays she can’t afford!
