Mia Powell is a mixed media illustrator based in the UK after studying Illustration at Birmingham City University she discovered her love for creating patterns, cute and comical characters and children’s books.

She was selected as a winner of the D&AD Newblood Pencil award for her project in collaboration with the ‘The Beano Studios’ to create an empowering female character for young children. Her work is versatile and transfers across a range of products including greetings cards, wrapping paper, children’s books and many more.

Mia mainly draws digitally but she also likes to incorporate handmade textures and elements to give her illustrations a dynamic and sketchy feel to them, she is also known for her sophisticated and unique colour palettes used throughout her illustrations.

Her Client lists include, Penguin Random House UK, Little Tiger Publishers and Moonpig UK.
