Makenzie McCarthy is a Portland based children’s book artist with a Master’s in Education from the University of Portland and a degree in Creative Writing from the University of Hawaii. With a strong commitment to diversity, she strives to create art that celebrates the beauty of all identities, fostering a sense of belonging in children everywhere.
When she’s not creating art, Makenzie enjoys playing with her cat, Sirius, and spending time in nature, where she finds a lot of her inspiration.
