Eve O'Brien

Eve is an Illustrator based in London.

In 2020 she graduated from the MA Children’s Book Illustration course at Cambridge School of Art. On the course she created a number of picture book projects from idea to final artwork and grew to love this process.

She draws inspiration for her illustrations from childhood memories, the natural world and old slapstick comedies. Her preferred materials are gouache, marker pens, and colour pencils. Prior to joining the MA she worked as an Illustrator for a toy and crafts company designing a number of illustrated children’s products.

Her childhood dream was to become a zoo keeper however upon learning that zookeepers have to do much more than hug baby elephants and feed lettuce to tortoises she decided it was probably best she drew the animals instead.

Eve is represented by Freddie Dawson — to work with Eve please email Nicky Lander while Freddie is on maternity leave.
