Emma Freeman

Emma is a freelance artist and lives in Hertfordshire with her husband, two young children and their Irish Terrier, Red.

After graduating from West Surrey College of Art & Design, Emma had a brief stint in textile design before moving into the greeting card industry. She has worked as a freelance artist for over 18 years, gaining a wealth of experience creating artwork for greetings cards and many other products including homeware, stationary and giftware.

Along with her passion for detail Emma loves crafting; crochet, stitch and needle felted characters have all featured in many of her designs. She uses photoshop to combine these with traditional painting techniques, collage, textures and patterns creating extra layers of interest to her work.

She gathers inspiration from many places, the countryside, heritage homes, gardens, crafts, Red the dog and her children and their wonderful collection of books.

When she’s not creating in her garden studio, Emma love’s spending time with her family, often enjoying adventures in their camper van.
