Publisher Ladybird approaches 200,000 sales in 18 months and announces further 8 titles in the series

The Bright Agency is proud to share that Chris Chatterton’s pre-school book property Uh-Oh Niko! will make its debut at Brand Licensing Europe, with a full style guide and asset bank ready to work with for licensees and partners. This coincides with news that the series has been commissioned for a further 8 board book titles from publisher Ladybird. The expansion follows the significant success of the initial books in the series, which have quickly become a staple for young readers and parents alike, selling almost 200,000 copies since initial publication in 2024.

There are currently 8 bright and colourful titles in the series released in the UK since initial publication in 2024. Niko has been sold into 17 international territories including Spain, France and Italy. This series is the perfect way to help toddlers with their simple daily routines bringing them to life with the help of Niko. Packed with push-and-pull sliders and flaps, children love playing along with the story and joining in with the fun-filled rhyming text and ‘Uh-oh Niko’ refrain.

The newly commissioned titles promise to continue the endearing adventures of Niko the adorable, clumsy bear and his friends, focusing on themes of friendship, minor mishaps, and positive emotional development, all delivered with Chatterton’s characteristic warmth and humour. New titles include the first seasonal title in the series focussing on Christmas.
