I always knew that I liked to draw ever since I was a kid and never really considered doing anything else. Even my family understood that and supported it, I guess it’s only natural for me to follow this path.

Bright Artist Hannah Clair started her illustration career in 2019 after graduating with a BA Hons in illustration and Animation, and this year saw the release of her first professional project; an animated music video for Pomplamoose Music. Hannah did the art and the direction for the video, collaborating with animator David Scott Kessler to create the beautiful visuals for the track Invisible People. We caught up with her to find out about her work and process, and what it was like to work on this project.

This month CBeebies released a Christmas Special - Christmas in Storyland, featuring artwork by four of our very talented artists here at Bright. Viola Wang, Jennie Poh, Greg Stobbs and Petronela Dostalova worked on the stunning backgrounds for this beautiful Christmas fairytale, providing a wonderfully varied and magical world for the characters to explore.

Alleanna Harris is a US illustrator with a background in animation and a love for creating immersive images, rich in colour. She has recently finished working on an exciting project for Toyota USA, designing illustrations for their Instagram. We caught up with Alleanna to find out what it was like creating digital content for the famous car brand.

Bright Artist Rachael Presky began her career in illustration after completing a Masters in Graphic Design in 2017. Specialising in digital illustration, Rachael has made a mark creating illustrations for clients such as Klarna, Breathe Magazine, Fizz Creations, Brio Magazine and Minds Matter San Francisco.

Claire Wilson is a surface pattern designer and illustrator with a background in product packaging and greetings cards. She has worked with a number of companies, including Dunelm and Avon, with her designs being used across a wide variety of products, including nursery and children’s bedding, home textiles, dinnerware, stationery and gifting as well as nightwear apparel. She finds inspiration everywhere, from simple everyday household objects to all things bright and beautiful outside. We caught up with Claire to find out what goes into designing for product packaging.

Originally trained as an architect, Bright Artist El Primo Ramón’s illustration career started from his work in graphic design and architecture, evolving until he was able to become a full-time illustrator. He now works on projects ranging from publishing, editorial, branding and design, with clients including Usborne Publishing, BBC-CBeebies, VCCP London and Pearson.
