Jennifer is a British-Japanese illustrator living near the beautiful woodlands of Ashridge, England. Coming from a mixed heritage and growing up between Asia and Europe, she drew influences from Japanese pop culture, British teen magazines and French fashion illustration. Jennifer is an emo 90s kid at heart and loves to draw quirky characters with big personalities. Teen life with all its drama, angst and friendship is her jam!
Her favourite projects ever have included illustrating a diary about a teen growing up in the 90s and a set of puberty guidebooks covering everything from pimples to periods to bra shopping. Her work is created digitally, although ideas often originate from her trusty sketchbook.
Jennifer is passionate about making illustrations that are relatable and fun - she loves to work on projects with an educational message, anything from an interactive science book to projects addressing mental health issues for young people.
Her client list includes HarperCollins, Hachette, Oxford University Press, Pearson, Penguin Random House, Puffin Poetry and Scholastic.
