Giulia Cregut is an Italian illustrator based in Florence, where she was born and raised. From an early age, she showed a natural curiosity for shapes, colors, and visual storytelling. This passion led her to study fine arts at the Martenot Institute, where she trained in the atelier of Francesca Del Panta, and later to specialize in Graphic Design, Illustration and Animation at the Nemo Academy.
Giulia’s illustrations blend traditional techniques, such as pencil, watercolor, and ink, with the versatility of digital media. She enjoys experimenting with textures and creating imaginative, playful worlds, often inspired by nature, childhood memories, and small everyday details. Her work is characterized by warmth, expressive characters, and a strong narrative feel.
She now works primarily in children’s publishing, crafting illustrations that spark curiosity and emotion in young readers. When not drawing, Giulia loves browsing second-hand bookstores and exploring Florence with her energetic Jack Russell, Pixel, who is both her loyal companion and occasional muse.
She approaches each project with curiosity and care, always aims to tell stories that speak to the curiosity and imagination of children.
