Daniela Berti is an Italian author and illustrator based in Bologna. Originally from a small town near Treviso, she studied visual arts and theater at IUAV University of Venice, illustration at ISIA Urbino, and at ESA Saint-Luc Brussels.
She collaborates with Italian and international publishers, magazines, and cultural festivals, creating picture books, editorial illustrations, visual storytelling projects, and workshops for children and adults. Her work often explores everyday emotions, relationships, and small moments of wonder, combining delicate atmospheres with humor and expressive characters.
In 2018, she received a special mention at the Concurso Internacional de Álbum Ilustrado de Gran Canaria. In 2024, 2025, and 2026, she was selected as a finalist for the Bologna Children’s Book Fair Illustrators Exhibition, and in 2024 she was also among the selected artists for the Golden Pinwheel Young Illustrators Competition. That same year, she won an artist residency in Tábor with the Sasek Foundation.
She loves the mountains, dogs, and has a real passion for desserts <3
