Rhi Moxon is an illustrator and printmaker based in North Wales. Growing up surrounded by mountains, coastlines, and countryside, she spent much of her childhood exploring outdoors, climbing trees and drawing maps of her favourite places.
Today, Rhi creates colourful, layered illustrations inspired by travel, culture, folklore, food, and the natural world. She has a particular interest in non-fiction storytelling and enjoys bringing places, communities, and real-world subjects to life through engaging visual narratives. Her work often combines bold colour, pattern, and playful details, inviting viewers to slow down and discover something new within each image.
Alongside illustration, Rhi is an experienced printmaker and often draws on the textures, processes, and visual language of traditional printmaking in her work. Her influences range from folk art and vintage travel posters to Chinese farmer paintings, Polish papercuts, Welsh quilting traditions, and well-thumbed guidebooks.
Rhi has created artwork for books, cultural organisations, festivals, public spaces, and community projects. When she isn’t drawing, she can usually be found travelling, learning languages, paddleboarding, running, or hunting down vintage treasure!
