Hannah Peck is an author and illustrator based in London. Her love of books led her to study English at university, where she stocked up on Gothic stories, English lore, and mythical poems that would later inspire her narrative illustrations.

Jessica Smith’s gorgeous florals can currently be seen around London promoting Kate Spade New York’s ‘London Blooming’ campaign. Jessica’s art featured on billboards around the capital, as well as being widely used on Kate Spade’s website and digital platforms. The campaign included a pop-up florist shop at the Kate Spade store on Regent’s Street, and seeks to spread joy with a free bouquet.

Five books have been shortlisted for The Alligator’s Mouth Award 2021, which champions authors and illustrators of highly illustrated children’s fiction. Now in its third year, the children’s book prize was created by Bright and The Alligator’s Mouth children’s bookshop to celebrate the best books for 6-8-year-olds.

Author-illustrator Beatrice Blue’s work has been translated into more than 10 languages so far and she was nominated for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize 2020 for Once Upon a Unicorn Horn (Frances Lincoln Children’s Books).
