After gaining a degree in Textile Design and Surface Decoration, Claudine joined a well known Greeting Card Company where she spent the next 13 years as an in-house artist, designing many different card ranges, including a very popular handmade range which won a Henries Award on four occasions.
After having children, Claudine made the decision to pursue a freelance career in order to spend a little more time at home - a move she describes as both a rewarding and challenging!
Claudine works in a variety of media, from watercolour to pen and ink through to fabric/paper collage, embroidery (machine and hand), and also using both Photoshop and Illustrator. Her textile background has given her a passion for pattern, texture and vibrant colours, which all feature prominently in her work.
She is inspired by nature, visits to galleries and museums (the V&A is a favourite), and loves to get lost in a good science fiction novel.
