Sharon Fujimoto-Johnson is a children’s book author-illustrator.
She is dedicated to creating space for diversity, beauty, and kindness in her work. Although Sharon’s work is rooted in her Japanese-American heritage, she seeks to normalize all types of diversity through the stories of underrepresented characters who don’t fit into mainstream boxes.
She is inspired by family stories, everyday joys, gratitude, poetry, and the joie de vivre of children. Sharon lives in Northern California with her husband and two children in a house full of books and art supplies.
