Liv Bargman

Liv Bargman lives on the liminal Borderlands of Wales and Shropshire. Hailing from Mid Wales, and now hopping over to the other side, Liv works from her home studio in Bishops Castle, South Shropshire. She uses a mixture of paints, pens, digital colour, crayons, and inks to make nice textures and marks.

Liv can be found walking the hills, looking for old standing stones on OS Maps and nodding appreciatively at holloways, and hedgerows, old gates, stiles, and bracket fungus.

When she was knee high, Victor Ambrus’ seminal book Dracula was on strong rotation alongside Raymond Briggs’ Fungus the Bogeyman, and Liv knew she wanted to draw like that when she grew up. Liv studied Illustration at Falmouth College of Art, and an MA in Art and Science at Central St Martins, winning a design award (The Biodesign Challenge, 2017).

Notable clients include Aquila Magazine, Big Picture Press, Marie Curie, Nuffield Primary Care Health Sciences, Policy Lab Gov UK, Tommy’s Baby Charity.

Liv’s first book Art Is Everywhere was published in 2022, by Big Picture Press.

Liv is represented by Freddie Dawson — to work with Liv please email Nicky Lander while Freddie is on maternity leave.
