Alissa is an illustrator from the Italian Alps (think the Iceman Ötzi), now based in Banksy’s hometown of Bristol, UK.
Growing up in the mountains, Alissa spent most of her childhood running through apple fields, drawing, crafting, and inventing stories. After receiving a BA in design and art — and a decade-long detour into the world of branding and advertising — she decided to turn her love for drawing into her job. Her work combines digital media and analogue textures reminiscent of paint rollers and pencils. She loves using illustration to create fascinating and fun educational imagery on nature, history, food, health, and most of all, animals of all shapes and sizes. But she also regularly works on important issues like sustainability, social rights, research and innovation.
Alissa was shortlisted in the 2024 World Illustration Awards for her illustrated narration of the 1963 Bristol Bus Boycott — one of the most important British civil rights movements— that was displayed on a working Bristol bus.
