Sheila Keegan is an illustrator who spends her days drawing, painting, and dreaming up stories in her cozy home studio. Sheila’s style reflects her Filipino American heritage and the diverse influences she encountered during her travels. Her illustrations, created primarily with watercolor, gouache, and colored pencils, are inspired by her love of nature, animals, different cultures, and childhood memories.

Growing up in New Mexico and Florida, Sheila knew at an early age that she wanted to spend her life making things. After earning a BFA in product design from the Columbus College of Art and Design, she pursued a career as a freelance designer and fine art painter. Her love of adventure led her to live and travel to many places around the globe. These days, Sheila happily lives in Cleveland, Ohio, with her husband and two well-traveled cats. In her free time, Sheila enjoys fruit and vegetable gardening, fiber arts, and visiting museums.
