Nigel is an experienced illustrator, graphic designer and writer living in Bristol, England.

Being tall he stumbles a lot which was useful in that he stumbled into Art College and repeated the trick with children’s publishing. Since then he has illustrated over one hundred titles in a variety of styles and had three graphic novels published.

After completing a Masters in authorial illustration, the doors blew wide open and Nigel has loved pushing himself with a looser visual language where he can incorporate his trademark humour. He has always been very adaptable and collaborative and many years of design experience in the industry have helped form a deep understanding of the power of words and image working together.

He mostly works quickly and digitally but loves to experiment with found textures and hand drawn elements.

He’s been lucky to have stumbled around the world on occasion and has been abducted in Bolivia and canoed to hospital in the Amazon but still thinks the most stressful part of travel is waiting for your luggage to come round the carousel.
