Minna Miná

Minna Miná is a Brazilian illustrator and designer based in Portugal, working across books, animation, and surface pattern design. Over the past few years, she has written and illustrated three of her own books (Onde as Gaivotas Fazem Seus Ninhos, Tipobicho, and A Pamonha de Vovó) and illustrated more than 15 titles by other authors. She has collaborated with clients such as Leya, Leiturinha, Storytime, FTD, MOL, Porto Editora, Zara, and Pull & Bear.

From a young age, Minna’s favorite place was among paints and crayons, inventing characters and creating stories. It wasn’t long before she knew she wanted to spend her life that way. Minna holds a degree in Digital Media Communication from UFPB (Brazil) and a Master’s in Communication Design from ESAD (Portugal). As part of her studies, she also completed a semester abroad at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, where she fell in love with the city and created her first book.

Her passion for storytelling has been a constant source of inspiration in her work. She’s always learning and drawing inspiration from films, animation, and comics. When she’s not working, she enjoys drawing her favorite fictional characters, exploring new places around town, and playing board games with friends.
