Alima is an illustrator based in Bandung, Indonesia. She earned her degree in Art Education from the Indonesia University of Education. While she studied to be a formal teacher, her deep love for visual storytelling led her to pursue a career as an illustrator. However, she still finds joy in teaching through informal settings, like creative classes or workshops, where she can share her skills in a more personal and flexible way.

Alima is a curious person who loves learning about how things work. She is a fan of encyclopedias and enjoys exploring many topics, from natural sciences to global traditions, as her inspirations come mostly from nature and culture. She mainly works digitally, but she also likes using watercolor and gouache to add a traditional feel to her art.

When she’s not drawing, she likes to cook for her family and spend time with her children.
