Aliaga Mirguseinov

Aliaga was born and grew up in Lithuania, a Baltic country in the eastern part of Europe in a family of mixed ethnic parents. Part Ukrainian, part Muslim - Aliaga has been given religions freedom to decide what he wants to believe and follow. This helped him become more open minded in his surroundings and expand his interests in arts of different cultures, especially western cartoons.

Aliaga’s interest in illustrations came from coloring and copying Disney color books in his youth. Inspired by cartoons, picture books and his trip to Japan, Aliaga’s current work consists of vibrant & dynamic color compositions, positive emotions, love for nature and fondness for cute things.

With the hope of sustaining his passion for art, Aliaga got a scholarship to join the Collage of Technology and Design in Vilnius where he started studying Graphic design. At the end of the second year, he was introduced to the children’s illustration course where his skills and passion showed the most and got the endorsement from his professors to pursue this as a career path. All the support from his mentors helped him open doors to new opportunities as a children’s book illustrator.

On the side Aliaga teaches kids / teenagers fun drawing and illustrating techniques, both traditional & digital, at his local youth center and how to have a good time as a creative daydreamer.
