Ruth Burrows

Ruth Burrows studied Theatre Design at Nottingham Trent University, but her journey took a creative turn when she relocated to the vibrant city of Abu Dhabi. For two decades, Ruth worked in the exciting world of Event Design, creating experiences for large-scale festivals, celebrations and eye-popping decor for Dubai’s famous malls.

Her passion for illustration blossomed while showcasing her work at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair so when the world slowed down during 2020, Ruth saw the perfect opportunity to dive full-time into her love for art and illustration.

Since then, Ruth has written and illustrated numerous creative projects, including the must-have The Illustrator’s Guide to Procreate and several standout non-fiction titles such as Wonderfully Wired Brains (DK Books) and Harry Styles - A Little Golden Book Biography ( Penguin Random House).

These days, Ruth works from her bright, open studio in the charming market town of Sleaford, Lincolnshire. Stay tuned for her debut venture into author-illustrated picture books—there’s always something new and inspiring when Ruth is around!
