Our talented artists are adept at applying their creativity to an almost limitless array of products, including a vast diversity of everyday, seasonal and gift stationery, and it is always exciting to work on projects that offer them the opportunity to indulge their innner child and explore fun and fantastical concepts for a new generation to enjoy.
We are delighted that our creatives have been invited to collaborate with super-fun US-based stationery and gift producers, Paper House, on a number of these little gems recently…and to be able to share a handful of the beautifully-produced results now available on the market.
Collaging queen, Bryony Clarkson, was commissioned to create series of spot illustrations for a set of scented ‘scratch & sniff’ sticker rolls and associated packaging, with each colour theme representing a candy-sweet flavour that would lend itself to the icons designed. Bryony’s playful, humour-filled work, with its bright palettes and naïve aesthetic, was the perfect fit for this deliciously interactive product, and we think the resultant stickers are just about irresistible to stationery buffs of ALL ages!

With a host of huggably-cute fairytale and nursery rhyme characters already populating her portfolio, Sanja Resecek was a natural choice for a commission to create a sweet greetings card design suitable for a child to send: her little fairy character conjuring cake from a flower makes for a wonderfully whimsical answer to that brief! Sam Loman’s unashamedly fantastical unicorn, meanwhile, rendered in her trademark pretty pastel shades, would be certain to make any birthday that little bit more brilliant:

As well as myriad greetings and stationery products, Paper House also develop and produce an assortment of games and puzzles under their ‘Playhouse’ division. Bright artist Emma Martinez has utilised her engaging, colourful style to great effect in creating the artwork for an educational ocean-themed matching card game, samples of which are shown below, while Kim Hinds has been commissioned to illustrate a bespoke deck of playing cards with a magical, fairy-dust-sprinkled twist (coming soon!).
Under the sea: we think Emma Martinez’s charming underwater artwork is sure to inspire generation of oceanogrpahers and marine biologists.
