Jeff currently works as a freelance illustrator and character designer, as well as a professor of Illustration at Cleveland Institute of Art. He studied Illustration at the University at Buffalo and Syracuse University, and Character Animation at California Institute of the Arts. Jeff worked as a staff artist for the Walt Disney Animation Studio and Disney Consumer Products, then for American Greetings in their licensing, humor and entertainment departments. While at AG, he created two animated children’s comedies for Disney XD and the CBBC and won the Chairman’s grand award for Creativity and Innovation.
Jeff’s favorite childhood stories inspired him to imagine that he might just find a white rabbit late for an important date, a Scarecrow alongside a yellow brick road, or perhaps even Santa Claus building toys in his workshop somewhere nearby. He’s eager to illustrate children’s books and write some of his own stories, continuing to create whimsical characters and enchanting stories that might inspire the next generation of children. He lives in Northeast Ohio with his wonderful wife and three amazing daughters.
