Vicky grew up in a small beach town on the ‘Dolphin Coast’ of South Africa, transplanted from Lancashire at the age of seven. When she wasn’t on the beach, she was painting and drawing, dreaming of being an artist (or a surfer). After qualifying in textile design at the Durban University of Technology Vicky felt the pull of my roots and crossed the equator again to begin her career in a Manchester design studio.
Eventually she transitioned from textiles into the exciting world of greetings cards, earning her stripes as both a traditional and digital artist for some of the top studios in the business. Vicky has spent the past few years working as a design manager for the most famous card company of all, whilst keeping her hand in as an artist. After working as a digital artist for so many years, Vicky still loves to paint, especially watercolours. She definitely dosn’t view it as “work” and always enjoys trying something different.
