Sophie Beer

Sophie Beer is illustrator who lives in Queensland, the sunniest part of Australia, with a menagerie of pets and houseplants.

She completed a dual degree in Law and Creative Industries with distinction at Queensland University of Technology before seeing the light and turning to freelance illustration.

Sophie adores creating bright, fun designs with generous helpings of narrative. Revelling in colour, shape and texture, she lives by one simple rule: art should never be boring.

When she’s not illustrating, she’s usually found drinking frankly dangerous amounts of tea, obnoxiously quoting Simpsons reruns, mooning over Joanna Newsom’s lyrics, and indulging in her other passion, literature.
